CONCLUDING THOUGHTS

Both the 2023 Mazda CX-30 and 2023 Mazda CX-9 offer a ton of value, if not, the best value in their respective classes. With exciting engine options, sporty yet smooth handling, and a plethora of available safety and driver-assist technologies, it’s difficult to say which is the better vehicle. In fact, comparing the CX-30 and CX-9 wouldn’t be fair as they both serve different purposes. If you have a large family, or regularly travel with many people or belongings, the CX-9 is the obvious choice. The CX-30 is for those who thirst performance (in the turbo trims) but with less passenger requirements. If I were to choose a specific trim of the CX-30, it would be the Turbo Premium and Turbo Premium Plus as they are more affordable than the base CX-9 but offers more “oomph” factor. For the CX-9, the Touring version seems to be well worth the money, as it still has a ton of standard features like push-button start, power-operated liftgate, leather trim, and power seats.
